Probably the deepest song on this Ep. This Wild Love is recorded live in the studio straight to tape. You can even hear the crackle from the tremelo on the Fender amp. No overdubs, just how you would hear him play it live. I love the lyric "Is this breath of air enough or have i lost my bout with this wild love"… it hits me hard because i know that we are here to love life, even just being alive, breathing, oneness… in a way nothing else really matters, or shouldn't… just love and life, or like love is life and its not a matter of us loving it so much as its a matter of life loving us… he reminds us that if you have love in your heart that just breathing should be enough… and as we grow older and often times more bitter, if we keep the inner child up and never tire of waking it up… then we can keep the heart of innocence.. the one that only knows us in love. It reminds me of the Gospel when Jesus says "if you don't enter the Kingdom as a little child, then you will never enter it". Heaven is the heart of a child… I love the line, "we're blooming, we're not bleeding out"… what beautiful line. I love love love this song and I've listened to it over and over and over again… its one of my guilty pleasures!
